The Club Deportivo Pingüinos de Arrecife has returned home after its outstanding participation in the first Spanish Championship of Children's Figures and Junior Technical Routines of Artistic Swimming of the season, held at the Valdesenchuela Pool in Valdemoro (Madrid). This competition marks an important start to the season for the Lanzarote club.
The Pingüinos Club traveled with a team of 8 swimmers, including 3 junior swimmers. Vega Martínez competed in the technical solo, while Adriana Cabrera and Vega Martínez formed the technical duet, with Laura Alemán as a substitute. Despite the short preparation time, the swimmers' choreographies were exceptional and promise even more improvements throughout the season.
In the children's figures category, the club was represented by Daniela Brito, Dolores de León, Victoria Romero, Sofía Méndez and Miguel Martínez. All of them demonstrated great skill in a competition that stood out for its high level of demand.
This national championship was a significant test for the Club Pingüinos de Arrecife, which competed with a completely renovated technical team. The athletes and coaches return home with enthusiasm and good feelings, motivated to continue working and improving in future competitions.
Coach Ylenia Felipe Rodríguez and technical director Sylvia Hernández Mendizábal accompanied and guided the swimmers during the competition, providing them with support and strategy.
The CD Pingüinos de Arrecife "wants to thank the RCNA for providing the pool for the preparation of this championship, as well as the Sports Area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the Department of Sports of the Arrecife City Council for their constant support and subsidies, which allow us to continue growing".
