CD Costa Teguise dominates the age groups of the Duathlon Spring. See the photo gallery of the awards ceremony

The fourth edition of the Duathlon Spring Teguise Lanzarote took place on Saturday afternoon with the presence of a large audience, who did not stop encouraging and cheering on the participants in the sporting event. Once again, it has been demonstrated that the Duathlon Spring Teguise Lanzarote is consolidated as one of the most important events on the Lanzarote sports scene. The participants thanked the organizers for the treatment received and many of them confirmed that they will be back next year at the Duathlon Spring Teguise Lanzarote.

With the arrival of all the participants at the finish line, the presentation of trophies and awards took place. An event that was attended by the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Pedro San Ginés, who even participated in this event finishing in 77th place with a time of 1:39:57. He was accompanied by the Minister of Sports of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Migdalia Machín, the Minister of Sports of the City Council of Teguise, Echedey Eugenio, the director of the Sands Beach Resort, Juan Carlos Albuixech, and the president of the Costa de Teguise Triathlon Club, Andrés Medina.

In the Veteran Male 1 category, the winner was Víctor de León Tejera (1:13:22). The podium was completed with the second place of Bienvenido Rodríguez (CD Costa de Teguise), with a time of 1:14:25. And the third place would be for Francisco Godoy Fernández with a record of 1:14:44.

In Veteran Male 2, the winner of the event was Juan Hernández (CD Costa de Teguise) with a record of 1:21:26. He was accompanied on the podium by Theourus Wilhelmus, with a time of 1:21:35. And the third place would be for Dirk Buschmann, with a time of 1:25:02. The winner of the Veteran Male 3 category was Peter Loughran from the Triyaiza Triathlon Sports Club, with a time of 1:33:15.

Among the women, Sandra Robson of CD Costa de Teguise was the winner of the Veteran Female 1 category, after completing a time of 1:29:28. The second place in this category would be for Julie Cliffe-Jones of the Haría Trail Team (1:51:23). In the Veteran Female 2 category, the winner was Deborah Jones (CD Costa de Teguise) with a record of 1:22:54. The second place in this category was for Sharon Loughran (1:40:19), and third would be Sue Fugle (2:03:38).

In the training categories, Antonio Maldonado was the winner of the junior category (1:14:43). And in the sub´23, Cristo Javier Umpiérrez was the first to cross the finish line (1:21:09). Special mention should be made of the members of the two TriWWW teams, demonstrating their strength of overcoming. One of the teams was made up of Elvis Díaz and Isabelle Janssens. And the other team was made up of Israel Coronado and Andrés Martín.
