The Royal Spanish Handball Federation has sanctioned the women's Club Deportivo Balonmano Mahay, known as San José Obrero, with 10,500 euros for not registering its players with Social Security.

Specifically, the minutes to which La Voz has had access state that this fine is due to the team not having registered players with Social Security between August 1 and May 30 of each season.

According to the Rules of Matches and Competitions, the team is obliged to have eight full-time players and four part-time players.

Furthermore, the Report from the RFEBM Administration Department indicates that during the month of August, the team had no players hired and registered with Social Security and in the month of May, it only had three out of twelve players.

On the other hand, the regulations indicate that the club will not be able to receive the aid that would correspond to it from the past 2025/2026 season.

Likewise, the document states that San José Obrero "has not submitted any plea or evidence within the granted period".
