This Saturday, the Adeje Villa Auditorium hosted the closing ceremony of the 2025 Canary Islands motorsport season, with the traditional Champions Gala organized by the Canary Islands Motorsport Federation (FCA). During the event, over 120 trophies were awarded for the 11 regional championships contested throughout the year, in addition to 29 recognitions for athletes and teams that excelled in national and international competitions, as well as several thank-you plaques for collaborating institutions.

The gala served to celebrate the achievements of the main protagonists of the season, recognize the effort made, and mark the beginning of a new stage with an eye on an exciting 2026 season.

The event was inaugurated by the president of the FCA, Miguel Ángel Domínguez, who reviewed the most relevant milestones of the year, especially highlighting the historic fact that the Canary Islands have hosted, for the first time, a round of the World Rally Championship (WRC). Next, the councilor for Sports of the Adeje City Council, Adolfo Alonso, spoke as host of the event, welcoming awardees, families, and fans. They were joined by the presidents of the territorial federations, Dani Ponce (FALP) and Edgar Morales (FIALP), as well as María Reyes, a member of the FCA's governing board.

The gala featured an attractive artistic segment thanks to the performance of soprano Sally Li, who surprised the audience with her rendition of three popular operatic arias. Likewise, the FCA's training team made a special presentation, highlighting the importance of this program for the development of athletes in 2026.

The trophy presentation began with the off-road disciplines, both slaloms and rallies, hosted by specialized journalists Rafa León and Ian Montgomery, with the support of spectacular videos of each discipline, interspersed with presentations by Vicente Travieso from the FCA. Afterwards, it was the turn of Karting, where young Derek de Castro added a touch of freshness and spontaneity upon receiving his award.
