C.D. Nonadamos wins two medals at the Spanish Winter Master Championship

The event was held between February 8 and 11 at the Complexo Rias do Sur in Pontevedra, Galicia

The Spanish Winter Master Championship was held between February 8 and 11 at the Complexo Rias do Sur in Pontevedra, Galicia. Five swimmers from C.D. Nonadamos traveled from Lanzarote to the great winter event of national master swimming.

The swimmers from Lanzarote participated in a total of 14 individual events and one relay event. Specifically, during their time in the event, they obtained two medals and nine personal bests. "That is the great balance of the team in this championship," the club said in a press release this Monday. 

On an individual level: Joaquín Ríos Romero obtained, in the Over 20 Category, the eighth position in the personal best of 50 meters breaststroke and the 21st in the personal best in 100 meters freestyle. For her part, Laura Ramos Santana, in the Over 25 Category, obtained the eighth best personal best in 50 meters breaststroke, the 15th best personal best in 50 meters butterfly, the 15th in 100 meters freestyle and the 17th in 200 meters medley. In the over 25 category, Esmeralda Gil Muñoz achieved 11th place in 100 meters medley, 14th in 200 meters medley, 14th position in 50 meters backstroke and 15th in 100 meters backstroke. 

Meanwhile, Laura García Cervantes, in the over 35 category, positioned herself as Spanish champion and personal best in 100 meters freestyle, Spanish runner-up in 50 meters butterfly, fifth position in 200 meters medley and fifth best mark in 200 meters freestyle.

For her part, swimmer Begoña Ramírez Perdomo, from the over 50 category, reached the fourth best personal best in 100 meters medley, the fifth best personal best, the fifth position in 100 meters backstroke, the ninth in 50 meters breaststroke and the ninth in 50 meters backstroke. 

At the team level, the team narrates the great performance of the women's team in the 4x50 Freestyle Category and achieving sixth position in over 120 meters.
