On the other hand, the team regrets "the total absence of representation from the Island Council"

Last weekend, the Closing Ceremony of the Lanzarote School Games was held, an event marked by the effort and dedication of our young athletes, who demonstrated their talent in each of the categories played, managing to occupy the podiums in a prominent way.

However, this festive day of recognition for grassroots sport "was tarnished by the total absence of representation from the Lanzarote Island Council, a fact that we deeply regret," they say. "The lack of institutional support for minority disciplines reflects a reality that we must change, since the effort and passion of these young people deserve the same recognition as any other sports modality," they continue.

Despite this, our players shone brightly:

Under 9 multigender category:
Our player Martín Avedero, gets an excellent second place.
And on the other hand, Vera González, a well-deserved third place.

Under 11 multigender category:
Manuel Cabrera took second place after an outstanding performance.

Under 13 female category:
Vera García, a player from the lower Under 11 category, demonstrating her courage and strength, gets her gold trophy. In addition, Wendy chen Li takes the silver and Gara Sánchez takes the bronze.

Under 13 male category:
Our player Airam Steux, climbs to the first place.

Ian González, after his great effort, manages to climb to that second place and Gorka Miguens takes the bronze.

Under 15 female category:
In this category we complete the podium.

Samyra Méndez, one of our brave players from the lower Under 13 category, demonstrating her ability at a higher level, takes the gold.
In addition, Chanel Conti gets her most deserved second place. And the third place is shared by Marina Morales and Legna Arranz.

Under 15 male category:
We completely fill the podium again.

Jorge Betancort collects that great gold trophy.

Marco Verges climbs to that second place and Aduen Hernández and Aday González share that more than deserved bronze.

Under 17 female category:

In this category we again predominate and fill the podium.

First place Atenea Morales achieving that gold.

Second place Amanay Gómez .

And third place shared by Indara Arrocha and Dayanna Gómez.

Under 17 male category:

Again a complete podium for our players.

Eduardo Curbelo gets that gold, demonstrating absolute dominance.

Bruno Fernández takes the silver.

And Neyen a González and Ryan Max Torreblanca, take that shared third place.

From the Lanzarote Raqueta Club we want to express our immense pride for each of our players, as well as our gratitude to their families and coaches for their unconditional support in each day.

"Despite the lack of institutional support, our commitment to sport and our young people is stronger than ever. We will continue fighting so that their effort and talent receive the recognition they deserve," they conclude.
