Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen has fallen defeated (26-33) this Saturday, in the Municipal Pavilion of Tías, in the visit of Caja Rural Aula Valladolid in a match corresponding to the second day of the División de Honor Oro.

The locals started by striking a few seconds after the start with an underground missile from Bia Masseu, but the pucelanas did not falter and soon took the lead in the match (3-5, min. 6:31).

The match entered a strange phase full of posts and turnovers by both sides. With the help of a somewhat touched Cristina Mazaira, Puerto del Carmen took the lead again. Valladolid struck on the counterattack as soon as the match allowed it, which kept them in the game (9-9, min. 19).

The last third of the first half passed with more errors than successes in both teams, which perpetuated the equality on the Tiense scoreboard (12-12, min.25). Casanova missed greater assertiveness and intensity in the Tiense defense and called a timeout to face the last minutes of the first half. It did not go well for him. Valladolid pulled away in the final moments and called a timeout to try to secure the last ball. They missed the play designed by Javier Rujas, but the visitors went into halftime with a two-goal advantage (14-16).

The pucelanas came out more plugged in after the restart. Casanova did not like his team's return to the Tiense court and Valladolid took advantage of it to go four goals up (14-18, min. 3:00).

The match entered an exchange of goals that only benefited the Vallisoletanas who had the advantage. Puerto del Carmen rowed against an excessive current, but the holes in the locals' defense continued to mark the match indelibly (21-25, min. 15). A new local timeout was not long in coming with a five-goal advantage for the visitors.

Childish errors in attack were added to the defensive fragility. A bad night for the women in black. As if that were not enough, the good performance of the Valladolid goalkeeper, Marisol Carratú, who saved up to three penalties in the second half, was added to the match.

An accidental play after a collision with Cristina Mazaira left Inoa Lucio out of the game with a strong blow to the neck. The "tiñoseras", lacking regularity in the match, ran out of time after accumulating too many errors in attack and giving away too much in defense; in the end, Puerto del Carmen had only two exclusions compared to seven for the visitors. Second defeat in two games for Puerto del Carmen, who next week travel to Aragon to visit Schar Colores Zaragoza.
