A new edition of the Roque del Este Regatta for Cruisers was held on Saturday, a competition organized by the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife in collaboration with Calero Marinas SL and which had the participation of seven boats. Miguel A. Armas' Sorondongo IV was the first boat to complete the 47 nautical miles of the course and in the compensated time classification, Pablo Padilla's Avanti Lanzarote and Pedro M. Ferrer's Ferrer & García shared the lead.
Early on Saturday morning, the seven participating boats set course for Roque del Este. The regatta began with a north-northeast wind that increased in intensity as the race progressed. The boats encountered magnificent wind and sea conditions, with an intensity of 7 to 12 knots.
Around 2:00 PM, the first boats rounded Roque del Este to port and set course back to Arrecife, where the finish line was located. Miguel A. Armas' Sorondongo IV was the first to complete the course with a time of 7 hours, 23 minutes, and 24 seconds. Pablo Padilla's Avanti Lanzarote (07:36:52) was the second finisher, and Pedro García's Ferrer & García took third place (07:42:07).
Once all the boats had crossed the finish line located near the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, the compensated time classification for the Roque del Este Regatta was drawn up. Avanti Lanzarote and Ferrer & García shared the first position in the general classification, and Sorondongo IV was the third finisher. Pedro J. Rodríguez's Manitu in fourth position, Patricio Aldecoa's Flounder III in fifth place, and Francisco Curbelo's Altamar I in sixth, completed the final classification.
