Autograph signing by drivers and co-drivers, the prelude to the Canary Islands Championship

The new 'Rally4 Cup' premieres in the "Orvecame Lanzarote" with six participating teams with Peugeot 208, with drivers of the stature of Juan Carlos de la Cruz or Camilo González, among others

45th ORVECAME ISLAND OF LANZAROTE RALLY

This Friday the Lanzarote event begins with unprecedented expectation, due to the list of entries and teams favored for the first victory of the year in the Canary Islands Championship. One hour before the starting ceremony at 6:30 p.m., the main drivers and co-drivers of the group of clear contenders for victory in Lanzarote will meet at the same starting ramp located in the surroundings of the Open Mall shopping center and the Rambla Medular, in order to have direct contact with the fans of the island of volcanoes.

Among the local teams, the Porsche 911 GT3s of Toñín Suárez-Jorge Cedrés and Oliver Rodríguez-Alejandro Blanco stand out, who can mix among the Rally2s in the stage classifications. And we cannot forget the BMW M3 of Alvaro Caballero-Noé González, Lanzarote natives who last year made the podium in their home rally. This year they have it very complicated.

The new Rally4 Cup premieres in the "Orvecame Lanzarote" with six participating teams with Peugeot 208, with drivers of the stature of Juan Carlos de la Cruz or Camilo González, among others. The Ford Fiesta of Osca Dóniz, sponsored by the Disa-Copi Sport Driving School, joins this category. And Kevin Kipar is registered with a Clio Rally5.

The event is also valid for the Canary Islands Trophy with older vehicles, highlighting, in addition to the two Porsche 911s and the M3, the BMW M3 of Miguel Quintino-Carlos García from Gran Canaria. Also for the BP Championship of Las Palmas, Lanzarote Championship, the FALP Steering Wheel, FALP Promotion Trophy and FCA Junior Trophy.

The organization has summoned the members of all teams with Rally2 vehicles, which are the first eight on the list of 48 entries, for an autograph signing at the foot of the starting ramp and to start "warming up" the atmosphere in Arrecife.

Next, the ceremony prior to Saturday's stages will begin, passing through the ramp in decreasing order of the list of participants, so car number 1 with the current regional champion inside, Yeray Lemes, co-driven by Aitor Cambeiro, will be the last to receive the starting flag.

The presence of Alexey Lukyanuk-Yuri Kulikov, Miguel Suárez-Eduardo González, Sergio Fuentes-Ariday Bonilla, Enrique Cruz-Yeray Mujica, Raúl Hernández-José Murado, Oscar Cabrera-Teco Hernández and Fernando Cruz-Juan Ricardo Luis is expected.
