The CDN Nadamas Santa Rosa celebrates the extraordinary performance of its swimmer Andrea Fraga González during the Spanish Summer Youth Championship held in Cádiz, where she attended accompanied by her coach, Nacho Villalba, and where she became one of the most outstanding participants in the competition by conquering a Spanish Champion title, two national runner-up titles, a bronze medal, and setting three new regional best times (MMR) for 12-year-olds in a 50-meter pool.
These results consolidate the athlete as one of the great promises of Canarian and national swimming, reflecting the work, consistency, and preparation developed throughout the season.
Andrea Fraga's performance began with an excellent showing in the 200-meter backstroke event, where she was crowned Spanish Champion in the category for those born in 2014, with a time of 2:33.99. In addition to the national title, the swimmer lowered the regional best time for 12-year-olds in a 50-meter pool, surpassing the previous record of 2:36.58, set by herself during the morning session.
In the 100-meter backstroke event, the CDN Nadamas Santa Rosa swimmer was the Spanish runner-up for the year 2014, setting a regional best time for 12-year-olds in a 50-meter pool, with a time of 01:10.99, the previous record being 1:11.19 set by Andrea a few weeks ago.
The progression continued in the 50-meter backstroke event. In the morning session, Andrea managed to qualify for the final, setting a new regional best time with a time of 32.98, improving the previous autonomous record of 33.11, achieved by the athlete herself the previous month. Hours later, during the final, she once again demonstrated her excellent form by winning the silver medal and becoming the Spanish runner-up, once again improving the regional record to 32.93.
The brilliant championship was completed with another presence on the national podium by winning the bronze medal in the 400-meter freestyle event, with a time of 4:55.75, confirming her competitive versatility and her ability to perform at the highest level in different specialties.
These results are the fruit of the athlete's daily commitment and the joint work carried out by the technical team of CDN Nadamas Santa Rosa, as well as the constant support of her family, teammates, and all the people who are part of the CDN Nadamas Santa Rosa sports project.
