The young karateka from the Poliarrecife Karate Club, Amelie Skiba, has won the bronze medal in the 5th day of the National Karate League, the second day for the Cadet and Senior categories, held in Santander on October 26 and 27, competing in the Cadet Female Kumite -61 kg category.
The podium obtained also gives her the classification for the Grand Final of the National League that will be held in Pontevedra, in the month of December, and which is only accessed by the top eight classified in each category after two days of classification.
More than 800 karatekas from all over Spain, from the Cadet and Senior categories, met at this event of the Royal Spanish Karate Federation
On the occasion of the celebration in Santander of the day of the national league, the RFEK, on Saturday, October 26, held a training concentration in this city for the cadet and senior categories, and directed by the coaches of the Spanish Federation, and to which Amelie was summoned.
For Amelie Skiba, current champion of the Canary Islands and runner-up in Spain, what she experienced last weekend in Santander is a new high-level experience and one more step in her sports career, as well as an extra motivation for her next commitments in the framework of the competition, for which she will continue to prepare in the facilities of the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion, where the Poliarrecife Karate Club usually develops its training.
