Alberto Contador will participate in the premiere of the Vuelta Ciclista a Lanzarote

The Lanzarote Cycling Tour will have a world-class ambassador at its premiere. Alberto Contador, a legend of national cycling, will participate in this cycling tour that was born with the spirit of continuing to promote active life and sports on the island.

The man from Pinto will be the headliner of an event organized by Club La Santa and the Island Council, with the support of the Government of the Canary Islands, Tourism of the Canary Islands, Lanzarote European Sports Destination, the seven municipalities of the island and the support of the Canary and Spanish Cycling Federations.

The race, included in the UCI calendar within the Cycling For All program, will run through Arrecife, Haría, Teguise, Tías, Tinajo, San Bartolomé and Yaiza, becoming a party for all cycling and sports lovers. The total distance that cyclists will travel will be 180 kilometers: 115 in the queen stage of the first day, with 1,700 meters of positive elevation gain, and 74 kilometers in the second stage, with 1,000 meters of positive elevation gain.
