Achamán takes the three points from the Municipal of Puerto del Carmen

Puerto del Carmen faded against CD Achamán as the minutes passed.

Football match between Puerto del Carmen and Achamán

Finally, there was a match. The team from Gran Canaria managed to change their return plane tickets and the match between Puerto del Carmen and Achamán was played without any problem, with the final result being favorable to the visitors by 0 to 2. A very fair result after what was seen on the field, where Puerto del Carmen, except for the initial dominance, showed little bite and consumed a defeat, achieving only 1 of the last 12 points at stake.

The match started well for the Lanzarote team, who had control of the game, playing near Zenaida, the goalkeeper of the Santa Lucía de Tirajana club. However, the first dangerous shot was from the visitors, through Leti, who after gaining the back of the defense, received a pass between the lines to shoot point-blank, encountering a superb save from Naza to avoid opening the scoring.

Shortly after, it was Joana who tried entering from the right, but the definition of the one-on-one against the Tías goal was not good and ended up hitting the ball on the side of the net.

Before reaching the first half hour of the match, Jack Talbot's team could have opened the scoring from a corner kick taken by Janet, which Manuela finished acrobatically, surprising everyone, but sending the ball over the goal.

The Gran Canaria midfield gained ground against the local team, which little by little was retreating in defense and cutting off the team, seeking to reach the attack zone with balls that were always dominated by the visiting defense.

When it seemed that the score at the end of the 45 minutes would be a goalless draw, bad luck arrived, which had already appeared at 20 minutes, forcing Puerto del Carmen to make its first substitution due to injury. Now it did so in the form of an own goal, scored by Haimara, which was a hard blow to the rojilla morale.

Upon returning to the field, it seemed that Puerto del Carmen had stayed in the locker room. They looked without ideas to get the ball out, with Achamán winning all the duels and being the dominant team in the match.

Eleven minutes after the start of the second half came the goal that served the visitors to extend the differences. Leti made it 0 to 2 and practically sentenced a match where it was difficult to recognize the Puerto del Carmen of the home games.

Achamán took possession of the ball and began to move it in the defensive zone, the pressure from Puerto del Carmen was ephemeral and failed to get hold of the ball, running to each pass given by the Gran Canaria team, very sure of themselves, without giving the locals options to cut the distance on the scoreboard.

Thus the minutes passed. The local bench looked for solutions, but none seemed to bother the visitors. It was the entry of Renda and Valentina and the change of system, going to three defenders and four attackers who gave more possibilities, with some timid arrival, but without changing the score.

With 0 to 2 the match ended, Achamán returned home with the three points in the backpack and Puerto del Carmen remains in a very compromised situation, 7 points from falling into the relegation places, but with 12 finals still to be played. The next one, on Saturday the 11th, visiting the Fundación del CD Tenerife B, seventh classified in this sixth group of the First National Women's League.
