Dear Sirs/Madams:
Our society is experiencing very complicated days that have led us to face a truly uncertain horizon at this moment.
While this situation affects the entire citizenry, regardless of their economic or social hierarchy, we cannot forget the most vulnerable people, especially the homeless.
In this sense, on behalf of the institution that I am proud to represent through the areas that I have delegated, but also in my name as Councilor for Tourism and in that of my entire department, together with the Social Services Area, I want to deeply thank the willingness shown at all times by those responsible for the accommodation plant of Arrecife in the face of our request for accommodation to be able to offer this delicate group a roof under which to take shelter while the state of alarm lasts.
I am not only proud of the response received in a matter of minutes after conveying our request, which demonstrates the enormous human quality of the great professionals in the tourism and accommodation sector of the capital, but I am also deeply grateful for the enormous displays of solidarity shown after the offer of these establishments so that we can have mattresses, sheets, blankets and other essential items without profit, so that these people can comply with the orders and recommendations of the State Government with all the guarantees of health, hygiene and rest in equal conditions as the rest of the citizens who have a roof under which to live, protect themselves and protect the health of others.
Together we will win this health and social battle.
Once again, THANK YOU!
