He's just left. And I swear we have lost a great human being.
The most exemplary PRESIDENT we have ever had, look at it from any angle, and with Uruguay's permission. Because Pepe is also ours.
Politics is left orphaned of leaders, already being orphaned of leaders.
There is too much power for a single person to manage it without personal ambition. I increasingly believe that power must be shared and distributed, to curb egos and, above all, to establish objective leadership. And the objective can never come from a single person. Only from Mujica, who was the great exception.
“One is poor when one needs a lot,” said Pepe. And it seems to me the most important thing any President has ever said.
In my utopia there are no rights or lefts, only common sense. And good leaders. Because with common sense and good leaders, the best politics is done.
I think Mujica should leave with his head held higher than ever before in politics. And with the great heritage of having been exemplary and honest, and with this, the affection and respect of the WHOLE WORLD earned. And that wealth is not given to you by any property.
Not having the need to feed the ego or the pocket with a revolving door.
Or a lifetime pension.
Mujica's official car was a sky blue beetle. Quite old.
He never bought another one while in politics.
Nor without being in it.
Little more to add.
The most honest person being able to be arrogant, the most humble person being able to be greedy, an exemplary person in politics, being able to not set an example, like many others. A great leader leaves in capital letters
Rest Pepe, you deserve it.
