From the Independent Trade Union and Civil Servants (CSIF) we demand the Government a coordinated plan with the CCAA so that no teacher is left out of the vaccination strategy against COVID-19, revised a few days ago by the Ministry of Health.
We value that, after months of demanding the measure, the Ministry, finally, prioritizes the vaccination of teachers.
However, we show our frontal opposition to the fact that within the same group an age group is discriminated against, since, after learning the new specifications of the AstraZeneca vaccine, in the priority groups only vaccination is established for people under 55 years. This circumstance is generating alarm and unease in the affected groups.
From CSIF we believe that not a single teacher should be left out of this vaccination strategy. In this sense, we demand a national strategy so that there are no differences between autonomous communities.
We also regret that in the first Sectoral Education of the year - held recently with the autonomous regional ministers of the branch - Minister Isabel Celaá has not coordinated urgent actions to guarantee health in the classrooms of the whole country.
CSIF will continue to demand clear actions against COVID, including that the Ministry set a maximum percentage of infections to close the centers, as well as staff reinforcements and the immediate replacement of affected teachers, something that is not happening.
