Adding wills in the achievement of common goals is the objective of any political force that aspires to collectively manage the future of its citizens. An aspiration that requires height, responsibility and the ability to dialogue and agree on projects with parties with another political vision.
These elections are held in a new scenario in which citizens demand new answers. A scenario in which personalism has no place, but those projects that openly bet on drawing common challenges in which differences are not an obstacle to achieving a collective goal.
In times of change, like the one we are now facing, in which we continue to fight against the crisis, it is necessary to make a diagnosis and face the problems, without shunning the difficulties, without ambiguities, and make decisions thinking about the future of our land, and not in the aspirations of the different political forces.
We have only one objective: the Canary Islands. It is our priority. We do not believe in the blocking of Parliaments nor will we be accomplices of those who are not willing to dialogue with other political forces because they have their sights set on future electoral processes, such as the one to be held at the end of 2015.
The Canary Islands is a territory that has suffered the consequences of State Governments that have not legislated or governed taking into account our singularities, but that contains many potentialities and offers many opportunities to offer a hopeful future not only to its citizens but to the territories to which we are politically and geographically linked.
We have to be able to promote an inclusive social transformation agenda, which allows, through dialogue and the search for shared goals, the creation of opportunities in a territory that claims to explore all its capabilities to offer employment and a hopeful future to its citizens.
An objective that requires leadership and a vocation for dialogue, but that also requires having a clear vision of what we intend and where we want to go. A challenge that, in the stage we are now living, involves the reconciliation of citizens with politics, reinforcing the role of Canarians as an active part in the design of future policies, and not as mere spectators.
Politics in the Canary Islands must become a great conversation between citizens and their representatives, in a permanent conversation, and not only in the electoral period. We have before us the challenge of generating a new dream through a future project that offers answers to those who reside in the Islands and an exit that facilitates the return of those who emigrated.
Without debate, there is no politics. And against those who refuse to dialogue, even before citizens speak at the polls, we offer constant communication with the economic and social sectors, with citizens, with young people, with entrepreneurs and with all those people who are willing to contribute their ideas so that the project that unites us all, which is the Canary Islands, is more prosperous, stronger, more egalitarian and represents an opportunity for all.
In short, believe that the future is something that can be decided together. Everything will depend on our decisions and commitments. Without generating false expectations, or magic recipes or promises that will end up clashing with reality itself. Only assuming as a prior agreement the will to add wills to grow together.
When the decisive hours have passed, it is useless to run to reach them (Sophocles)
