Brief radiography of Spanish politics. I/III. Rights

Beyond political squabbles, the noise and its echo in the media, a serious and objective reflection on the political options that currently influence our lives and condition our development as a society is essential.

The moderate right that won the elections, but does not govern, practices a relentless opposition, does not want agreements with the government, not even on basic state issues. Its alternative is not clear, since its main motto - repeal Sanchismo - is not a government program. We must know what it would do in such important issues as pensions (would they remain linked to the CPI or will they return to the Sustainability Factor). Possible measures on immigration. How territorial cohesion would be strengthened or what the new regional financing would be like. It must demonstrate that it has a project.

They practice permanent disqualification of the government's actions and accuse it of being illegitimate. They try to delegitimize institutions, simply because they do not govern them. It does not comply with the Constitution by paralyzing justice and then accuses others of the same. Democracy is about forms, respect for the opponent, they do not seem to understand this. There is a lack of institutional collaboration, apparently they do not care about sinking the country, as long as they govern over its ruins.

There is not much to analyze about the radical right. It seeks a regression of rights and freedoms, which have cost us so much to achieve. It wants to recentralize the state by eliminating the autonomies. Meanwhile, it hoards all the regional power it can, from which it obtains juicy benefits. This ideology is very risky, just look at the 20th century.

The nationalist rights tend to have a very short vision, they only consider what concerns their territory and strive to obtain more benefits. The ideas of cohesion and interterritorial solidarity are unknown to them. Regarding the Catalan independentist right, add that, in addition to being blind to the social reality of Catalonia, it has hints of corruption. The Canarian nationalism has no scruples in trying to catapult the radical right to power by the hand of the moderates, when it is known that they promote the outlawing of nationalist parties, this position does not seem very coherent.

We must end the double standard, when the rights agree or take some important measure, it is for the good of the country; while, if others do it, it is a humiliation and Spain is broken.

The liberal conservative reference should be Europe, where the ultras have been emptied. In Germany or France, no one gives them power, even at the cost of not governing. The European rights are moderate and pro-agreement, they are in the 21st century. A center hinge party is needed. But dialogue and agreement are even more necessary, at least on the major state issues. This should be the way forward.
