The Lanzarote parliamentarian Yoné Caraballo (Nueva Canarias) has filed a complaint with the Civil Guard Command of Costa Teguise against a Facebook profile for disseminating an image of his son captured from his personal profile.

"They can give me a hard time on social media and say whatever they want, disrespect my work, I don't care," he began in a video disseminated on social media, "but I will not allow a photo from my personal profile to be used and published on a page without my consent," the parliamentarian pointed out.

Caraballo insisted that the publication of a photograph in which he appears with his minor son exceeds the limits of freedom of expression and political criticism. "I will never allow third parties from my family to be used without any justification, and without my consent," the parliamentarian highlighted.

The also candidate of Nueva Canarias for the Cabildo of Lanzarote for the 2027 elections has asked social media users to report these types of anonymous profiles. Meanwhile, he indicated that the armed institute is already working to try to identify the person hiding behind this profile.
