Óscar Noda, mayor and councilor responsible for Economy and Finance of Yaiza, confirms the balance of 5.9 million euros of payment to suppliers made by the City Council between October 2024 and this January 14, 2025, counting in said calculation the payments to companies and self-employed for supplies, works and services and subsidies to sports, cultural and social mission entities, excluding municipal social emergency aid.
Yaiza thus maintains its dynamic of order and management in the payment plan of all its obligations, emphasizing the mayor that "our rigorous compliance in the payment for supplies, works and services is a boost to the local and island economy." Óscar Noda also maintains that "companies and self-employed want to work with us because they know that the Yaiza City Council makes payments effective before the thirty days established by law, once we have verified compliance with the obligations by the suppliers. They themselves can attest that they receive payments in ten days or less."
The mayor also emphasizes "the municipal commitment to sports, cultural and social clubs and entities that do an extraordinary job, which we value as a local administration for its influence on the well-being of the municipality, and which our neighbors also value."
Óscar Noda takes the opportunity to publicly thank "the performance of the Administration area of the City Council that does an efficient and quiet job throughout the year and is used thoroughly in the accounting closure of the year so that suppliers are paid on time. We can proudly say that the good economic and financial management of Yaiza is a usual action that is endorsed by the audit reports that the Government of the Canary Islands makes every year."
