Yaiza organizes an open forum with Supreme Court magistrates on urban planning and crimes in the matter

The administration chaired by Óscar Noda intends to open a new open and privileged dialogue forum among experts and train the staff of the Public Administrations that deal with urban planning

The Yaiza City Council gathers in Lanzarote jurists from the Judiciary and experts in urban planning at the Congress Urbanism and Crimes against the Administration, which will be held on the morning of May 7 and 8 in the auditorium of the Amura Restaurant in Puerto Calero. 

The event is free, but attendance requires prior registration by filling out the form available on the homepage of the municipal website www.yaiza.es, where detailed information on the topics to be discussed and their speakers is also published.

The administration chaired by Óscar Noda intends to open a new open dialogue forum and privileged among experts and train the staff of the Public Administrations that deal with urban planning, as well as the consequences derived from the non-compliance with the rules that govern such an important matter.

The conferences, moderated by the secretary of the Yaiza City Council, Óscar Cabrera Pérez, have confirmed the participation of María Consuelo Uris, magistrate of the Supreme Court, who will address Legitimation of local entities, in urban planning matters, before the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction; Miguel Ángel Torres, magistrate of the Provincial Court of Málaga, Problems of the investigation and prosecution of crimes related to urban planning and crimes against Public Administration; and Miguel Pallarés, president of the Professional and Independent Association of Prosecutors (APIF) and coordinating prosecutor of the Provincial Prosecutor's Office of Las Palmas, Urban planning prevarication. These are the speakers for Thursday, May 7.

On Friday 8 will be Wenceslao Francisco Olea, magistrate of the Supreme Court, Environmental assessment of plans and urban planning; Antonio Doreste Armas, magistrate of the High Court of Justice of the Canary Islands, The impact of the gender impact report on urban planning instruments; and José María Ezquiaga, architect and sociologist, National Urban Planning Award, Decision-making on planning in the process of drafting urban and territorial planning.

In the framework of this program of specialized sessions to foster knowledge, debate and the sharing of valuable experiences, Yaiza already organized last year a technical meeting on Public Sector Procurement, with six top-level Spanish speakers and the participation of 160 professionals from the technical and legal fields.
