The system will improve traffic control and support the work of the Local Police and Civil Guard, in addition to promoting citizen security and allowing the identification of uncontrolled spills

The Yaiza City Council has put out to tender this Wednesday, July 16, a mixed contract that includes the supply, installation and management of an intelligent urban video surveillance system, under a lease regime, which will reinforce citizen security, traffic control and the supervision of strategic points in the municipality.

The new system will integrate more than 100 cameras distributed in the different localities and has a base bidding budget of 868,097.04 euros.

In addition to complying with current regulations in this area, "this solution will allow more effective monitoring of vehicle traffic, detect infractions and support the work of the Local Police and Civil Guard, as well as improve the surveillance of sensitive points in the municipality and favor the identification of uncontrolled spills (waste, belongings, etc.), among other issues."

The contract includes, in addition to the supply, configuration and installation of all the necessary equipment - which must be compatible with the existing one and as standardized as possible to facilitate future installations that may be required - full maintenance for four years, technical support, unlimited 4G connectivity and specific training for the Local Police personnel in charge of supervising the images and data generated by the cameras.

“This is a very complete system, which will be an important plus for citizen security and the surveillance of the municipality”, emphasizes the mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda. “This network of cameras will allow us to reinforce the great work carried out by the security forces and optimize the control of traffic, accesses, transit areas and usual dumping points. It is a firm commitment to provide ourselves with effective tools to take care of our environment and our people”, concludes the southern president.

Interested companies can consult the technical specifications on the Contracting Platform and submit their offers until August 18.
