The Yaiza City Council has launched a citizen consultation to gather opinions, proposals and assessments from residents, business owners and groups in the municipality, within the framework of the drafting process of the new General Planning Plan. The initiative, developed in collaboration with the company awarded the document, seeks to directly involve citizens in defining the urban growth model of Yaiza.

Through a simple form, accessible from a banner on the cover of the municipal website, participants will be able to answer a series of questions related to the current situation of the different population centers, the existing services and facilities, as well as the needs in infrastructure and priorities for the future development of the municipality.

This consultation is part of the participatory process that accompanies the preparation of the new General Plan, a strategic tool to face the urban challenges of Yaiza.

“We are committed to a transparent and participatory process that takes into account not only the technical and legal aspects, but also the human needs”, stressed the mayor, Óscar Noda. “This consultation is key to achieving an inclusive, plural and sustainable plan, and therefore we encourage the entire population to contribute their vision to build the future of Yaiza together”.
