The Yaiza City Council has installed four public mechanical self-assistance stations for bicycles that allow cyclists to carry out maintenance and repair tasks at a specific time and thus "be able to resume the march in the event of a minor breakdown", as clarified by the Council. The southern leader highlights that "the assistance points meet a need of residents and tourists who increasingly use bicycles as a means of transport and sports activity."

The stations, which "are equipped with air pumps to inflate wheels and tools, make it possible to raise and place the bikes at a certain height in order to carry out the work more comfortably."

The Councilor for Sports of Yaiza, Ángel Lago, reports that "we have installed two points in Playa Blanca, one in the new link road that has a bike lane, at the height of the Marcastell urbanization, and another in the Atlantic Park". In addition, "another point in the town of Yaiza and one more in Uga, as places with high bicycle traffic."

"Yaiza develops initiatives to increase the layout of bike lanes and now puts repair stations at the service of users, which also help promote the use of bicycles," they say.
