The Yaiza City Council has announced the completion of the works on the children's park located in the square of the urban area of San Marcial de Rubicón, in Playa Blanca.
According to the City Council, "the installation of the perimeter fence and finishing works" are still missing. These "finishing" works will be carried out through a new municipal commission, with an investment of 93,000 euros, which the Yaiza City Council finances with charge to the Municipal Cooperation Plan agreed with the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
From the City Council they detail that the construction of the children's park in San Marcial de Rubicón is joined by another important intervention in the municipality, "the reconstruction of the sports center in the area". This action has already been carried out, according to the Consistory, with 364,000 euros of municipal funds. "In addition to the paving of the streets of San Marcial del Rubicón, whose contract we have also signed,” adds the mayor, Óscar Noda.
For his part, the Councilor for Parks and Gardens of Yaiza, Rubén Arca, explains that “the new playground offers attractive games for the little ones, allowing families to enjoy a space with cozy shade areas created by the awning sails that we have installed.”
The Yaiza City Council thus continues with "the renovation and modernization of the 24 children's parks in the municipality, adding new recreation and sports areas, as is the specific case of San Marcial del Rubicón".
