The Yaiza City Council has just awarded the company Hijona Ravski the service for drafting the execution project of the Day Center in the town of Playa Blanca, for which the mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, has already requested from the Government of the Canary Islands a sum of 3.5 million euros for the calculation of its construction in the Montaña Roja area. "In four months we will have the construction project and we demand co-financing to execute this more than necessary socio-health infrastructure," says the mayor, who last November met with Fernando Clavijo, president of the Canarian Executive.

Yaiza had commissioned the basic project and now takes advantage of a grant from the Social Welfare Area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote **to tender and award, for 48,000 euros**, the cost of drafting the execution project for works on a municipal plot of 8,000 square meters

It will be a building with several sections on a single level. On the public access floor, there will be a reception or citizen service area, general administration, bathrooms, a medical consultation room and psychologist's office, a rehabilitation room, a treatment room, a TV room, a reading room, and a quiet activities room.

Another building is planned for activities more closely related to temporary accommodation with bedrooms, private bathrooms, a dining room, kitchen, storage, and an utility room. The mayor explains that "this is a priority in our government's actions and we are taking all the necessary steps to fulfill our commitment to the citizens, especially families with elderly or dependent individuals who find it difficult to balance work with caring for their loved ones".
