Would activate free buses and reinforce line 7 for Carnival

The special service will be from February 28 to March 1 to guarantee safe mobility during the festivals and the Coso.

Intercity Bus

The Haría City Council, through the Festejos Area and in collaboration with the Transport Department of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, will launch a special and free bus service to attend the festivals and the Carnival Parade that will be held in the municipality at the end of this month.

The service will operate from 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 28th until 1:00 AM on Sunday, March 1st, with a circular route and an approximate frequency of 30 minutes. The route will depart from the Arrieta school, continue through the two stops in Punta Mujeres and the one at Cuesta del Pozo in Haría, to return again to Arrieta.

The mayor, Alfredo Villalba, points out that this action responds to the Government group's commitment to "the safety and well-being of the population," allowing residents and visitors to enjoy the carnival with "tranquility and having a comfortable and safe transportation alternative."

For his part, the Councilor for Celebrations, Alberto de León, highlights the importance of coordination between the different municipal areas and the island council to offer a "device adapted to the expected high turnout," while encouraging the population to use public transport and to celebrate the Parade "responsibly."

Strengthening of the night service and line 7

In addition to the free circular service, line 7 will be reinforced with departures from Haría in the early morning of Friday, February 27 to Saturday, February 28 at 03:00 and 04:30 hours. From the Arrecife bus station there will be departures on Saturday, February 28 at 16:00, 17:00, 17:30, and 21:00 hours.

In the early morning of Saturday, February 28 to Sunday, March 1, new departures from Haría will be enabled at 02:00, 03:00, 03:30, 04:00, 04:30, 05:00, and 05:30 hours, with the rear of the church of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación being established as the stop point.

Due to the traffic closure for the Carnival parade, starting at 3:30 PM the only operational stop in Haría will be Cuesta del Pozo. The stops on San Juan street, the Plaza, and La Cruz in Haría, as well as La Molina and Sociedad in Máguez, will be cancelled in both directions.

With the implementation of this special device, the City Council aims to promote safer and more sustainable mobility during the festive events, avoiding the use of private vehicles and contributing to the smooth running of the day.

From the Haría City Council, citizen collaboration is appreciated and it is recommended to plan trips in advance to guarantee a safe and orderly celebration of the carnival.
