The Cabildo of Lanzarote has awarded the contract for the improvement and rehabilitation of the pavement of the LZ-30 road in two of its sections, specifically from the Monumento al Campesino to Masdache and from Masdache to Uga.

"Both awards will involve a total investment of close to 1.5 million euros, from the first Island Corporation's own funds, to improve not only the pavement, which in many places is in a significant state of deterioration, but also to guarantee the safety of this important road that runs through the heart of La Geria”, said the president, María Dolores Corujo.

The awarded company has been Hormigones Insulares S.L and the execution period of the works will be three months, starting from the signing of the staking act.

The Councilor for Public Works, Jacobo Medina, explains that "the intervention on this important road, of high landscape value in Lanzarote, contemplates the rehabilitation of the pavement to eliminate the cracks and potholes that it presents due to the passage of heavy vehicles, as well as the installation of new metal safety barriers and the improvement in signaling, both horizontal and vertical."
