The PP and Vox have just announced an agreement of "understanding" for the Senate lists whereby the popular ones do not run in three provinces -Guipúzcoa, Girona and Tarragona- and Santiago Abascal's party renounces presenting its own candidacy in six -Las Palmas, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Cádiz, Valencia, Castellón and Balearic Islands-.

The decision of both formations comes after the PSOE and the Frente Amplio agreed to run together for the Senate in several autonomies. Although the historic agreement covered most of the country, in Lanzarote, they will run separately.

As explained at a press conference by the PP's campaign director, Miguel Tellado, his party will include an "independent" candidate proposed by Vox in the six constituencies where this formation will not run.

Vox, in addition, will only present one candidate in fourteen provinces for the Senate: Sevilla, Huelva, Asturias, Badajoz, Álava, Navarra, Cáceres, Huesca, Zaragoza, Alicante, Granada, Cuenca, Pontevedra and Jaén, the political formation has anticipated in a statement.
