CCOO of Lanzarote called this Wednesday, September 10, for a mobilization on the island in the form of a car caravan. This action has also been carried out throughout the country, coinciding with the debate in the Congress of Deputies, on the Bill for the reduction of the weekly working day to 37.5 hours.

This Law aims to reduce working hours while maintaining salary, which will improve the reconciliation of family and work life. It also aims to modify the Law on digital disconnection of workers and also the Law on the Registration of working hours, making it digital, seeking efficiency and accurate control of the daily working hours.

"It must be remembered that, given the times we live in and the denialist movements that go against the working class, rights are not inherited, they are conquered and defended. The reduction of working hours will be a before and after for the working class, since the weekly working day is modified after 40 years," declare from CCOO.

The car caravan left from the Explanada de Arrecife at 10:00 a.m. and toured different central streets of the municipality of Arrecife.
