Unidas Sí Podemos has called for the open assembly 'Lanzarote Futura' this Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at the Podemos Lanzarote headquarters in Arrecife. The premises are located at Calle José Betancort number 32. The purple formation has invited to "build together" the future of the island, as well as "capture it" in the electoral program with which it will compete in the municipal and island elections of next May 28

According to Unidas Sí Podemos, the assembly will consist of two parts. The first will discuss thematic axes moderated by members of the confluence who are specialists in each of them. The green axis will focus on territory, environment, water and energy and will be moderated by Rafael Torres, island director of Environment of the Cabildo de Lanzarote. The purple axis will discuss equality, diversity and inclusion, will be moderated by María del Río, deputy of Podemos Canarias in the regional parliament and recognized feminist activist. The social axis, on dependency, social integration, community development and care, will be moderated by the social integrator Zayda González.

The second part of the assembly will consist of a sharing and will delve into the island model, the economy and tourism. It will be led by Nicolás Saavedra, candidate of Unidas Sí Podemos to preside over the Cabildo de Lanzarote.

"There are many issues that concern citizens and that the usual parties are not able to listen to. We open this process to anyone who has something to say. Our way of doing things is this, opening new spaces for participatory democracy," said Nicolás Saavedra.

"Lanzarote has to be thought of in an integral way, both geographically and sectorally. We must build the future of this island from here and thinking together, without more tutelage than that of the people who live and work here," added Saavedra.

Unidas Sí Podemos invites all citizens to participate in this open assembly and contribute their ideas "to build a more just, sustainable and inclusive future for the island of Lanzarote."
