The Management of Health Services of the Lanzarote Health Area, attached to the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, has published this Tuesday, July 21, on the Public Sector Procurement Platform the tender for the execution of the expansion works of the Tinajo Local Health Center, with a base budget of 657,526.74 euros.
The contract is carried out through an open simplified award procedure and ordinary processing, with an execution period of five months from the signing of the contract. The deadline for submitting proposals ends on August 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. This tender is carried out after the initial file has been reviewed and corrected.
The expansion project of the Health Center includes the creation of a new medical consultation room, a nursing consultation room, and a large multipurpose room that can be used by different professionals. The action represents an increase of 131.42 square meters on the built surface of the building.
The expansion of the Tinajo Health Center is a necessary project to meet the healthcare demand of this basic health area, which has experienced population growth in recent years.
The Tinajo Local Health Center belongs to the San Bartolomé Basic Health Zone and has a total of 6,607 individual health cards assigned, of which 863 correspond to the pediatric population and the rest to the adult population. Assistance is provided by a team of four Family and Community Medicine doctors, one pediatrician, six nurses, one physiotherapist, one midwife, one Nursing Auxiliary Care Technician, one social worker, and three administrative assistants.
Activity in 2025
Throughout last year, the Tinajo Local Health Center registered 36,898 Family Medicine consultations and 5,968 Pediatric consultations. For their part, the Nursing staff attended 21,821 consultations, the Physiotherapy service 2,399, the Midwife performed 675, and the Social Worker 754.
