Tinajo skatepark project

The Tinajo City Council has published on its Contracting Platform the tender for the La Santa skatepark project for 196,330.51 euros. The project has its origin in 2020, when the Council, "through a Participatory Diagnostic plan on childhood, adolescence and youth, held meetings with different groups and young people of the municipality who demanded this facility, which will soon become a reality with an area of 487.37 square meters",

“It is our duty to meet with our neighbors and attend to their demands. I want to thank them for their interest because we are all building a municipality where all people can have first-class spaces and facilities and this will always be our line of work”, stressed the mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín.

The facility will host the sports practice of skate and surfskate, although it will also be suitable for urban modalities such as BMX and Roller. The space will be located specifically on Avenida del Marinero in La Santa. The project is part of the Cooperation Plans that the council maintains with the Island Council.

“The skatepark will give a good leap in quality for schools and fans who carry out this practice in the municipality. In addition, its installation will attract more visitors to Tinajo, which will become a reference for the realization of this practice and other extreme sports. With this intervention, the Department of Youth continues to address the proposals collected, from the participation and involvement of the youth of the municipality, and advancing with the commitment acquired through the Comprehensive Plan for Children and Adolescents in relation to the improvement of public spaces and infrastructures”, stressed the Councilor for Sports Vianney Rodríguez.
