The Tías City Council is replacing the halogen lighting in the Municipal Pavilion with low-consumption and less polluting LED lighting. This project, budgeted at 158,392.10 euros and financed with own funds, is part of a comprehensive and strategic investment to improve the facilities.
These days, the 64 halogen lighting points are being replaced by 24 LED lighting points, which are more energy-efficient and more comfortable for athletes and spectators, as it tries to avoid glare, guaranteeing safety and visual comfort.
The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, the first deputy mayor, Nicolás Saavedra, and the councilor for Sports, Ismael Cruz, visited the venue this Monday to check the status of the works, which will be completed soon.
According to the mayor, the government group is committed to energy efficiency and sustainability in municipal facilities. “The replacement of the pavilion's lighting not only reduces electricity consumption, but also improves the experience of those who use and enjoy this space," he specifies.
Ismael Cruz indicates that the change to LED technology “represents a direct improvement for athletes and spectators, who will have more uniform lighting, without glare and adapted to the demands of competitions. We want to host top-level matches and for our neighbors to enjoy high-quality facilities."
New roof and floor
As will be recalled, the Tías City Council has improved the facilities of the Tías Municipal Pavilion in recent years, which has a new roof thanks to a project that solved the building's waterproofing problems.
In addition to the new roof, the Tías Municipal Pavilion has a new pavement, which had not been replaced since 1999. The new floor, in which the City Council invested 131,000 euros, meets all the essential technical requirements for modern facilities.
