The Tías City Council informs the citizens that the necessary work for the installation of traveler information posts with solar energy at bus stops will soon begin, a project that the Cabildo de Lanzarote awarded to the company Capmar Sistemas de Información.
The project, named Supply and installation of an information system for interurban regular transport passengers ITS of Lanzarote, is included in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan financed by the European Union with Next Generation Funds.
The affected bus stops are located on the LZ-2 road (Mácher), on Avenida Alcalde Florencio Suárez (Tías) and on Rambla Islas Canarias, Avenida de las Playas and streets Venus, Marte, Noruega, Juan Carlos I and Reina Sofía (Puerto del Carmen).
The mayor, José Juan Cruz, declares that this project will allow offering a better service to public transport users, facilitating updated and accessible information in real time thanks to a modern and sustainable system powered by solar energy.
Likewise, the Councilor for Mobility and Transport, Sergio García, points out that “the installation of these information posts represents an important improvement for residents and visitors, especially in areas with a large influx of users of interurban transport, such as Mácher, Puerto del Carmen and Tías.
