Tías will hold a fair with workshops, presentations and stalls of bookstores and authors

'Tías reads' is proposed as a meeting of stories in memory of Tomás Armas, former director of Culture of the City Council

The first edition of the fair Tías lee is presented as a gathering of stories in memory of Tomás Armas, former director of the Culture department of the Tías Town Council. The fair will be held on April 17 and 18 with workshops, book presentations, scape room literary, collective reading of Don Quixote and stalls for bookstores and authors.

The Councilor for Culture, Pepa González, announces that the activities related to the celebration of Book Day will begin next week with the storytelling route through the educational centers of the municipality, which will take place from April 13 to 17. On April 23, Book Day, there will be games, workshops and gifts in the municipal area.

On Friday, April 17, the Hermitage of San Antonio will host, starting at 5:00 p.m., the presentations, sale and signing of the books Pardelín (children's story), by Teresa Perera; At the mercy of the trade wind (poems), by Ignacio Romero; Gustavo Winter. With another light, by Luis Abaroa; and The kiss of Venus, by Ana María Angueira.

On April 18 at 10:30 a.m. the scape room literary named The study of Sherlock Holmes will open in the Tías Library and at that time, in the Hermitage of San Antonio, the book presentations The hostile beauty of the acacia, by Sandra Morejón and Lito: my silenced master, by Acorayda Cabrera, will begin.

During the morning of that same Saturday, the collective reading of part of The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha, by Miguel de Cervantes Saaavedra, will take place. Leandro Fajardo square will host bookstore stalls, authors, and workshops.

There will be a stand for the Association of Writers of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, where the Youth Reading and Writing Club will be inaugurated, a stand from the Once Foundation for awareness activities about visual disability, a stand from Radio Tías, book exchange, creation of bookmarks, creative writing workshop, stories, haiku and ceramics workshop by the La Barrilla association.
