The Tías City Council put out to tender the contract for the installation of outdoor lighting in the Los Lirios area with a base tender budget including taxes of 1,042,764.69 euros. The project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, and the councilor for Urban Planning, Ulpiano Calero, explain that this proposal is part of the municipality's energy efficiency improvement strategy, replacing obsolete lighting with LED luminaires that enhance energy savings and reduce light pollution.
During the work, which includes trench excavation and the installation of outdoor lighting equipment and electricity supply, 123 light points will be removed and 67 new LED lamps of different wattages will be installed depending on the area.
The project is called “Improvement of the energy efficiency of outdoor lighting in various streets of Tías: interiors in Urbanización Los Lirios, Violeta del Teide, El Cardón, Los Lirios, unnamed streets in new urbanization, Orquídea, Tajinaste, Los Lirios road, La Vereda de Conil road and La Violanta road”.
Specifically, it is divided into three zones according to the three new public control panels to be installed and the existing transformation centers. Zone 1 will be the Los Lirios road and new urbanization, Zone 2 will be the interior of Urbanización Los Lirios and adjacent streets, and Zone 3 will be the Orquídea and Tajinaste streets and adjacent areas.
Companies interested in submitting bids to obtain the project tender can register them through the Electronic Headquarters of the Public Sector Contracting Platform until July 28.
