The Tías City Council is renovating the air conditioning facilities of the assembly hall of the El Fondeadero Civic Center, in Puerto del Carmen, with a project that includes a comprehensive intervention on the roof and that was awarded to the company Técnicas de Climatización Calima for 96,086.04 euros.
The aim of the consistory is to adapt the municipal dependencies to the current needs of comfort, well-being and energy efficiency, within the plan to improve and modernize public spaces.
The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, visited El Fondeadero this Thursday together with the first deputy mayor, Nicolás Saavedra, and the councilor for Culture, Pepa González, to monitor the progress of the works, which require a couple of weeks for completion.
The new air conditioning system will allow a more efficient regulation of the temperature in the assembly hall, improving the well-being of those attending the various cultural, social and community events that the center hosts throughout the year.
Municipal officials recalled that the installation of air conditioning in El Fondeadero "is a historical demand of the center's users, as it is a space widely used by different groups, associations and the city council itself."
