The Tías City Council has approved the bases of the call to fill two positions in property, one for an architect and another for a general administration technician, through the free access system, through the opposition selection procedure.

The Councilor for Human Resources of Tías, Ramón Melián, points out that "these positions, vacant in the staff of civil servants, are included in the Public Employment Offer for the year 2016, approved by Decree of the Mayor's Office dated March 28 of this year".

"With the call for these two new positions, we intend to incorporate more technical and qualified personnel into the City Council and thus be able to provide a greater response to the high demand for files that enter this administration daily, and especially in specific areas such as Urban Planning, Technical Office or the Intervention and Treasury departments," Melián emphasizes.

The call for these positions as well as the text of the regulatory bases of the selective tests will be published in full in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas, in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands, in the edict board and on the City Council's website, where they can already be consulted. However, the deadline for submitting applications by interested parties will begin to count from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the Official State Gazette and for the next 20 calendar days.

As stated in the requirements and conditions of participation in the job call for the architect position, it will be necessary to have a degree in Architecture, have a higher degree in said subject or a University Master's Degree that enables the exercise of the profession. With regard to the position of general administration technician, among the conditions, it is worth noting being in possession of a degree in Law, Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, Mercantile Superintendent or Actuary.

Finally, the dates of the tests of the selection process, which includes a test, a development and a practical case, will be made public, through the resolution by which the definitive lists of admitted and excluded are approved, which will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP), in the notice board and on the website of the Tías City Council.
