The Tías City Council wanted to be present this Wednesday at the 'International Tourism Fair of Madrid' (FITUR), highlighting Puerto del Carmen as a tourist town and the municipality of Tías as a privileged territory. With proposals and projects that place them as "one of the first tourist destinations" of reference, as highlighted by the Consistory. In addition, the city council will have a 'Municipal Strategic Plan' this year.
At 'Fitur', the mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, held a working meeting this Wednesday with the project coordinator of the 'Innovaris' consultancy, Sergio Suárez, and with one of the project technicians, Sara Castilla, to advance in the preparation of the 'Municipal Strategic Plan' that this company will prepare for the municipality.
The technical assistance of this consultancy will take into account "in a special way" the projects related to the 'Intelligent Tourist Destinations' (DTI), as the municipality of Tías is a member of the DTI network of Segittur
"The 'Municipal Strategic Plan of Tías' is a roadmap for our territory for the coming years, with a participatory diagnosis of the economic, social, environmental, tourist and cultural aspects, among others, and an action plan with a temporary calendar and a financial sheet," explains the mayor.
In addition, José Juan Cruz has announced that in a few months the results of this project will be presented, providing details of some of the most outstanding aspects of the research carried out, the strategy and the action plan.
The 'Municipal Strategic Plan' will allow, through the analysis of the sector and the associated demand, to design and develop an "adequate planning" that will provide the municipality with "methodological tools" that allow to guide its development.
The aim is to have a document that serves as a "guide" for the development of the municipality and in which the actions to be "implemented" in a medium or long term period are identified. The objective is to promote initiatives that generate "benefits" and "advantages" for society, improving their quality of life and maintaining the care of their cultural and natural heritage.
