From the Haría Municipality Platform they warn of "structural deficiencies, lack of resources, work overload and a management that does not respond to the real needs of the service"

After more than six months of repeated complaints, the Haría Municipality Platform makes public the "serious situation" that the Out-of-Hospital Emergency Services on the island are experiencing, a problem that directly affects the quality of care, the safety of professionals and, ultimately, the attention received by citizens.

During this time, José Torres, president of the Haría Municipality Platform, assures that they have been alerting the competent authorities about "structural deficiencies, lack of resources, work overload and management that does not respond to the real needs of the service." Despite these warnings, the situation "not only has not improved, but continues to deteriorate in a worrying way."

Likewise, the platform announces that they have proceeded to file a complaint with the Public Prosecutor's Office for possible irregularities in public sector contracting, specifically in relation to the alleged duplication of contracts. These facts could constitute a breach of current regulations on public procurement, violating the principles of legality, transparency, and efficiency in the use of public resources.

This situation, according to them, "demands a thorough investigation and the clearing of responsibilities, should the reported facts be confirmed. The correct management of public services, especially those as essential as health emergencies, must be guaranteed under the highest standards of legality and ethics".

For all this, from the Platform of the Municipality of Haría they request:

- The urgent review of the current state of the Out-of-Hospital Emergency Services.

- The adoption of immediate measures to guarantee a dignified, safe, and effective service.

- The investigation of the facts reported in matters of public procurement.

- The assumption of responsibilities by those who are responsible.

- The immediate review of the contract currently in force, which is allegedly expired since December 2025, having also exhausted the two extensions contemplated in said contracting, in possible violation of what is established in Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts.

Finally, they assure that "information will continue to be provided and action taken through all necessary legal channels until a real and effective solution to this problem is guaranteed." Likewise, they highlight that "from the Primero Teguise team, the voice has also been raised at different times regarding this situation, in coordination and accompaniment with my person."
