Arrecife already has underway the works for the reopening of the Argana Alta Pavilion, which will culminate at the end of the year, according to the city council of the capital. The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, and the Councilor for Sports, Eli Merino, visited this Wednesday the works that are being executed by the concessionaire company that will enable the adaptation and legalization of this 'Palace of Sports'.
In addition, together with the director of the concessionaire company of the pavilion Canarias de Clece, Francisco Lázaro Torres, they made a morning visit to all the areas where the works are being carried out, which are necessary for the commissioning of this great sports pavilion.
Francisco Lázaro Torres, director for the Canary Islands of the company Clece, concessionaire of these sports facilities, and the municipal swimming pools building, informed the mayor of the city, during the visit, that the company has planned to "complete all the works at the end of this year."
The works in progress will allow the City of Arrecife the "legalization and reopening of these sports facilities", located in the most populated neighborhood of the capital of Lanzarote.
Yonathan de León has detailed all the efforts that, in these first months of management of his Government Group, have allowed the start of these works and that citizens can enjoy these sports facilities.
The company Clece has hired companies and workers from the island for the execution of these works, according to the representative of the firm pointed out this Tuesday. With a global investment of "1.8 million euros", different works are underway for the adaptation and legalization of this pavilion, which will allow authorizing its opening license.
The Pavilion has in its basement a parking area with a capacity of approximately 200 vehicles, which will also come into service upon completion of all these works.
De León was pleased that the residents of the Argana Alta neighborhood, "see with their own eyes that this reopening will be real, and is very close." For the mayor, Arrecife will see throughout this term "many works to improve sports facilities" in the neighborhoods of the city. Works, such as those of the Argana Pavilion, have projects and financial records for their "prompt execution".
Eli Merino has detailed that, after the reopening of this pavilion, it will be "made available for the use and enjoyment of citizens, sports clubs and the many athletes, fans and professionals" that exist in the municipality.
