Following the complaint of a reader who contacted La Voz a few days ago complaining about the presence of waste next to the Mercadona and Decathlon in Argana Alta, the area has been cleaned, as published on his social networks by the mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León.

According to de León in his Facebook profile, "last week several residents of Argana contacted me to indicate the situation in which these margins of the Arrecife Ring Road were due to the presence of gloves and plastic bags thrown by uncivil people who visit the supermarket".

As a result of these complaints, the mayor contacted the management to request their collaboration in the removal of this waste, something that they have already done and have left the area clean.

Yonathan de León appreciates "the quick response", but also appeals to "the responsibility of citizens". "There are bins to deposit gloves and bags, each waste must go to its place and the collaboration of citizens is necessary for our city to be clean and cared for", he concluded.
