The Tías City Council has awarded the contract for the construction of the Parque de Los Lirios, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2025 and represents a significant advance for the municipality, as it will become one of the largest urban parks on the island, along with the future Playa Honda park in San Bartolomé.

The mayor of the municipality of Tías, José Juan Cruz, has expressed his "optimism in relation to the project, highlighting the objective of creating a space for recreation and leisure for families, children and residents of Tías in a short period of time."

For his part, Ulpiano Calero, councilor of the Roads and Works area, has announced that "more awards will soon be made to projects that will contribute to making Tías a benchmark on the island in terms of public spaces and recreation areas."

This work is included within the Municipal Cooperation Plan of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, with an investment of 900,000 euros and a contribution from the Tías City Council of more than 1.5 million of its own funds.
