The Public Works area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote has announced the bidding for the work of the Charco de San Ginés waterfall, an intervention conceived by César Manrique that will beautify this point of the capital. This action, integrated into the Tourism Sustainability Plan, will create a "magical space" in the idyllic place of the bay of Arrecife, such as the Charco de San Ginés.
The Vice President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and head of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, has assured that this future waterfall "responds to a historical demand of the residents of Lanzarote." "We have worked hard to carry out this project, which will revitalize the place in an unprecedented way," added Medina.
For his part, the mayor and direct head of Public Works of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, has stressed that this intervention "will transform one of the epicenters of the city, generating a unique space that values our idiosyncrasy as people from Lanzarote."
It should be noted from the Cabildo of Lanzarote that this work includes "not only the waterfall but also the installation of two reception pumps for the borehole, and only one may be needed if a second pump is not necessary."
The base budget for bidding, including taxes, "amounts to 492,670.90 euros." Companies interested in executing the project have until July 23 at 09:00 hours to submit offers.
The project for Restoration of the Charco de San Ginés Waterfall, T.M. Arrecife of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), will be financed by the European Union-European Funds Next Generation EU.
