The Tías City Council has announced that the project to execute the “Various installations and adaptation works in the Mácher Socio-Cultural Center” is published on the Public Sector Contracting Platform. Interested companies can submit their proposals until February 8.

The government group of the Tías City Council has expressed "its satisfaction" for the upcoming contracting of this work, which will take into account "safety, energy efficiency and the well-being of society."

“The socio-cultural centers of the town's municipality are meeting points for residents, spaces for holding courses, workshops, meetings or festive events. These spaces have to be in good condition and the Mácher socio-cultural center has needed renovation for some time,” says the mayor, José Juan Cruz.

The work is included in the Municipal Cooperation Plan of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and has a base bidding budget of 296,501.90 euros. According to the report, “due to its age and lack of functionality, the deterioration has been exponential, so the project is drafted for the purpose of guaranteeing the safety of people, the well-being of society and the protection of the environment.”

From the City Council they point out that the objective is to "improve, reform and adapt the building with construction work, electrical installations and ventilation." The total constructed area of the building is 794.88 square meters
