The Puerto del Carmen festivities will have a reinforcement of the regular intercity passenger transport service of bus lines 02 and 34 during the next two weekends due to the Puerto del Carmen festivities in honor of Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
Taking this request into account, bus line 34, which runs through the interior of the municipality of Tías, will have a special service at 04:30 in the morning of Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3, in addition to the early mornings of August 9 and 10. It will depart from the Las Vistas stop and will follow the usual route.
Line 02, which connects Arrecife with Puerto del Carmen and vice versa, will have a reinforcement vehicle on the mornings of August 2, 3, 9 and 10. This reinforcement will operate from 01:00 to 06:00 hours and will also depart from the Las Vistas stop.
The transport company providing the service must provide a high-capacity passenger vehicle, thus guaranteeing safe mobility for attendees, indicating that if necessary, another vehicle must be available.
Taxi service
Regarding the taxi service, during the early mornings of Saturdays and Sundays 02, 03, 09 and 10 of August, from 01:00 to 06:00 hours, due to the festivities in honor of Nuestra Señora del Carmen that are celebrated in the Plaza del Varadero, it will be allowed to operate jointly with all the taxi associations of the island, “foreseeing the great influx of people attending the celebration.”
The Councilor for Mobility and Transport, Sergio García, declares that “these measures reinforce our impulse towards safe and efficient mobility during the festivities. We want to facilitate access and return for residents and visitors, avoiding crowds and favoring the use of public transport. With the reinforcement of buses and the extension of the taxi service, we guarantee a better experience for all those who participate in the events in honor of Nuestra Señora del Carmen.”
