The PSOE of Tinajo has shown its satisfaction with the decision of Coasts to not authorize the occupation of more than 120 thousand square meters of public domain with a cable ski installation that, in the opinion of the aforementioned body, lacks general interest.
The socialist spokesperson, Begoña Hernández, has highlighted that the installation promoted by an individual implied, in practice, the privatization of an important strip of the well-known Lago de la Santa, also generating a significant landscape and environmental impact in the area.
"The Coasts have prevented a real nonsense. Our coast already presents magnificent opportunities to practice sports that do not require this type of facilities, as wind and waves are enough to enjoy a natural environment that would deteriorate with this type of facilities," he explained.
Hernández has pointed out that the PSOE will continue to bet on the conservation and intelligent use of an area that represents an extraordinary natural resource.
"Just as we promoted the conversion of La Isleta into public land, we continue to bet on La Santa, one of the main landscape spaces of Tinajo, contributing to generating well-being for the population without losing its essence," he concluded.
