The PSOE of Tinajo has denounced with concern the serious irregularity in the management of subsidies by the government of the Canary Coalition, led by Jesús Machín. In a recent requirement, the obligation to return a subsidy of 150,807 euros destined to the First Professional Experience in Public Administrations has been confirmed, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan financed by the European Union - Next Generation EU.
The Mayoral resolution, motivated by breaches of the obligations associated with said subsidy, breaks down this amount into 137,804.71 euros of principal and 12,960.29 euros of default interest. “This situation reveals an alarming lack of diligence and responsibility in the management of public funds, harming not only the local economy, but also the confidence of citizens in their institutions,” said Begoña Hernández, councilor of the Socialist Group in the Tinajo City Council.
From the PSOE of Tinajo "they demand a clear and detailed explanation from Jesús Machín and his team about the reasons for this breach and the measures that will be implemented to prevent it from happening again. Citizens deserve answers and, above all, responsible management of public resources. We cannot allow these irregularities to compromise the development and recovery of our administrations and, therefore, of our municipality,” added Hernández.
