The PSOE of Haría calls the consultation to buy 2 houses a "disparate"

The PSOE councilor in Haría, Alfredo Villalba, has described as a "disaster" the popular consultation that the City Council is carrying out during the week to obtain the opinion of its neighbors regarding the purchase of the Casa del Cura and the Casa de Doña Natalia. Among other things, Villaba questions the lack of "rigor" in this consultation, in which "anyone in the world can vote", but also the fact that there is no official appraisal by the City Council, according to him, despite the fact that the mayor has already spoken of a value of one million euros for both properties.

To this, the PSOE councilor also adds the link between CC and one of those properties. "One of the houses that is intended to be bought, the Casa del Cura, was the electoral headquarters of Coalición Canaria, from the two months prior to the municipal elections, and now it is one of the properties that is put up for sale. It is very strange that only a year and a half after the elections, it is bought", the councilor questioned.

"It is not that there is a link or not with CC, but it is evident that there was a deal prior to entering the government", he insisted, warning that "whoever is going to get into the problem is whoever gives authorization to make the acquisitions of that". For all these reasons, Villalba believes that this initiative is "a lack of respect" and believes that this "occurrence" of the mayor, Marciano Acuña, "is related to the lack of vision towards the citizens and neighbors of this municipality".

"San Ginés buys a house and he also wants to buy houses"

On the other hand, Villalba does not understand why this decision is submitted to consultation, "when there are many priorities in the municipality", nor "why he did not also submit to public opinion the agreement of the Cave or the suspension of the lawsuit itself". The councilman believes that with these acts, "the true person behind the City Council of Haría" and its mayor "has been discovered". "I have already received countless calls from people of all political persuasions with a monumental anger for being disrespectful to the intelligence of the neighbors, since it is a consultation that makes no sense".

In Villalba's opinion, Marci Acuña "seems to copy more and more the actions of the president of the Cabildo", Pedro San Ginés. "He buys a house and he also wants to buy houses, the same with the museum, when the priorities that the municipality has are others", he defended. For that reason, he considers that "this type of occurrences that border on the ridiculous and the mockery towards the neighbors". In addition, he added that "the City Councils are not real estate companies to maintain patrimonial structures, since the law of budgetary stability says it clearly, that investments can be carried out when their maintenance is not important".

Regarding the patrimonial value of those houses, which the City Council puts at one million euros, the councilman has assured that "there are no patrimonial appraisals of what it costs, that is, the real value of those houses, because in order to be able to acquire them the City Council, they are talking happily about economic amounts that do not coincide with the values that have been given to other people also interested in the houses. For this reason, it is going to have a lot of ground to cover, because I think they are playing with fire in their behaviors", he denounced. In addition to challenging the mayor to show "publicly the appraisals that have been made on the two properties", the councilman has also stressed that "the Casa del Cura had economic activity years ago, so it carries with it the restoration done, but the other one has to be redone practically entirely. They are talking about negotiations directly with the owners and they do not have appraisals", he stressed.

In addition, Villalba has denounced that the consultation "does not have a serious basis", since "anyone in the world can vote as long as they are over 16 years old, but they can do so without identifying themselves and without giving any data". "I think the requirement of 16 years is a real shame, because it is fine to elect the class delegate but this seems to me a way of saying that the neighbors of this municipality lack a bit of intelligence". The councilman believes that "it is necessary to raise the tone with respect to what the gentleman is doing in Haría, because it makes no sense even if the consultation is not binding. Things have to be done seriously".

In short, Villalba ignores "where this is going to end because they start by not convening plenary sessions or not passing information in them and there comes a time when the opposition has to raise the tone in the face of situations of this magnitude". "Things are accumulating and in the end we will have to make decisions that, probably, are not the ones we like the most, but we will make them", he sentenced.
